Anyone else had the same thoughts when you read the casting announcement of Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane for The Addams Family musical? My first thought was : The New Addams Family Musical, because, sorry - Neuwirth and Lane look and feel too similar to Ellie Harvie (who was an excellent tish in her own right) and Glenn Taranto (didn't really like his intrepretation but it was ok I guess for a kid's show).
^ Nathan in one of his comedies looks just like Glenn Taranto's Gomez.

"Although Lane and Neuwirth will be part of the August reading, no roles have been cast for the Broadway production, which is scheduled for the 2009-2010 Broadway season following an out-of-town tryout."
Although the article doesn't say, I'd wager that Neuwirth will be reading Morticia, and Lane... I dunno. Fester, maybe?

Hi all, as you've noticed I'm a new member of this community but I've been lurking for quite some time now.. Recently I came across these 2 Japanese ads on youtube and I just couldn't resist sharing these with you guys... Frankly, I don't think the Addams family featured in the ads are the original dream cast from the 1st two movies, (I can't verify for sure as there are no closeups cept' for Morticia), but that is Anjelica Huston as sexy as ever for sure. I was pleasantly surprised when she spoke Japanese. o_O
